Hyderabad, Nov ’16 (PMI): City Police Commissioner CV Anand IPS tweeted to the traffic police on his X account that Operation Rope should be conducted properly to solve the traffic problem in Hyderabad. The CP suggested that small traders mainly from other states are encroaching on cycle tracks and footpaths to sell various goods and make a living, in such cases poverty, livelihood etc. should not be brought up. Occupying the footpaths is a mafia-like act. If the footpaths are encroached, the traffic will be more difficult. He said that it is necessary to do traffic clearance with the help of cranes every day. CP tweeted that this is a continuous process and officers face tremendous pressure while doing this work. The CP asked everyone to cooperate with the traffic personnel in removing encroachments and enforcing the rope.(PMI)
