Madira Nov.21 (PMI): BRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has predicted that Congress will not get more than 20 seats in the upcoming Assembly elections and the BRS party will form the government with a better majority than in the past.
Addressing the Praja Ashirwada Sabha at Madira in Khammam district on Tuesday, the Chief Minister exuded confidence that the BRS government would be coming to power again in Telangana after increasing two more seats from the old majority and there would be no need to doubt in this regard.
“As part of the election campaign, Madira is the 70th Assembly Constituency I have visited so far. There are only 30 Assembly segments left. If I go to remaining 30 constituencies, Congress will be further defeated. As I am going to campaign, Congress is losing and finally, it will not secure more than 20 seats,” KCR said.
The BRS president also slammed Congress leader Batti Vikramarka, who is contesting from Madira Assembly constituency, for dreaming to become a chief minister if Congress was voted to power, and said that his dream would not become a reality as Congress would not secure more than 20 seats.
He also appealed to the Dalit community people in Madira Assembly constituency not to cast vote for Batti Vikramarka in the upcoming elections as the Congress party had done nothing for the development of Dalits.
“Congress leaders used Dalits as vote bank, but did not initiate a single scheme like ‘Dalit Bandhu’. If a scheme like ‘Dalit Bandhu’ had been implemented during the 50 years of Congress rule, the Dalits would have been the better position today. Dalit sisters and brothers should think and should cast vote against Congress in the upcoming Assembly polls,” KCR said.(PMI)
