Hyderabad : The main opposition party Congress has decided to conduct Revenue sadassus to help the poor in updating land records.
Speaking to the media after party executive meeting held at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy said his party will take up “Indiramma Rythu Baata” for 100 days. From September 18 to 22, the party will organize awareness programs for farmers in nine old district headquarters, he said. The party will also distribute booklets on land rights to the poor prepared by Congress party.
He made it clear that the Congress will stand by the farmers and real land owners. The Congress will take applications from eligible people for three acre land and double bed room houses. He also said the Indiramma Rythu Baata will continue till December 2 marking Congress party Foundation Day. He condemned the murder of Congress activist in Khammam and warned that the TRS party would face revolt if it indulged in political murders. He said that the party will organise public meetings in Bhupalpally on September 22 and on September 23 the meeting will be organised at Ramagundam on Singareni elections.
