Congress leaders meet Guv, seek Rs 25L aid to kin of slain VRA

Hyderabad,  A delegation of Congress leaders today met the Governor and demanded that the State government extend Rs 25 lakh ex gratia to the kin of Sailu, village revenue assistant (VRA), who was crushed to death by a tractor of sand mafia when he resisted their attempts to take away sand illegally.

            The Congress leaders urged the Governor to curb the atrocities of sand mafia in the State. They also demanded that the government arrest the sand contractor, who caused death of  VRA Sailu, two days ago.

Congress leaders N Uttam Kumar Reddy, K Jana Reddy, Shabbir Ali, D K Aruna, S A Sampath met the Governor at Raj Bavan on Friday and submitted memorandum. They also submitted another memorandum   seeking unconditional release of MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga from judicial custody.
