Hyderabad, Oct. 17, 2025 (PMI): Congress candidate Naveen Yadav on Friday filed his nomination papers for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election. Senior party leader and former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin accompanied him during the process. The political spotlight, however, shifted when AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi also arrived at the nomination venue and publicly extended his support to Yadav.
Speaking at the event, Owaisi criticized the 10-year rule of BRS in Jubilee Hills, stating that the area’s development was neglected. He added that during the parliamentary elections, 20% of BRS votes shifted to BJP, a figure expected to rise to 35% in the 2023 assembly elections.
