Telangana CM Revanth Reddy credits the support of minorities for Congress’s success in the state. He highlights the importance of unity among all communities for development and justice.
Hyderabad, Nov.11 (PMI): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the minorities have played an important role in bringing the Congress party to power in Telangana.
Addressing a programme after participating in National Education Day and Minorities Welfare Day celebrations at Ravindra Bharati here on Monday, the Chief Minister said that the Hindus and Muslims were two eyes of the Telangana government and the ruling party leaders would lead the State forward in the path of development by strengthening education, medical care and provide job opportunities with the support of all communities.
Stating that two ‘ Parivars’ are existing in the country in which one is Modi Parivar and the another one is Gandhi Parivar, the Chief Minister pointed out that the Modi parivar is working to instigate animosity among people while the Gandhi parivar is striving for the unity of country.
“Maulana Abul Kalam Azad introduced Education Policy to provide better education to the people of the country. We consider Muslims as brothers and family members and not a mere vote bank,” Revanth Reddy said.
He further stated that the Minister from the Minority community was not inducted in the State Cabinet since not a single MLA was elected from the community in the Assembly elections. However, we made Congress senior leader Shabbir Ali as government advisor and gave an MLC post to Aamir Ali Khan.Congress government also provided opportunities to minorities in the Corporations, the Chief Minister reminded.
Stating that no official from minority community was appointed in the CMO after the YS Rajashekhara Reddy’s government, Revanth Reddy said the current Congress government appointed a Minority officer in the CMO and the Congress party also provided opportunities as Chief Ministers and Ministers in the country.
“Decide for yourself whether to stay with the Modi Parivar or Gandhi Parivar,” Revanth Reddy asked the minorities.
Unity Over Division: Modi Parivar vs. Gandhi Parivar
Revanth Reddy also pointed out the ideological divide between the two prominent political families in India – the Modi Parivar and the Gandhi Parivar. He stated that while the Modi Parivar seeks to sow division and instigate animosity among people, the Gandhi Parivar strives for unity and national cohesion.
Launch of TGMREIS Website and Maulana Azad Awards
As part of the event, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGMREIS) website and an online Integrated Command Centre. The ceremony also saw the presentation of the prestigious Maulana Abul Kalam Azad awards to individuals who have made significant contributions to the welfare of minorities and education.
He further appealed to the minorities to work hard to bring Congress to power in Maharashtra as the Congress party will only render justice to all communities in the country.
On the occasion, Revanth Reddy launched TGMREIS website -online Integrated command centre and also presented Maulana Abul Kalam Azad awards. (PMI)
