Hyderabad, Jan.7 (PMI): Tension prevailed in front of the BJP State office here today. A clash broke out between the Congress and BJP workers. The BJP launched a counter-attack on the Youth Congress leaders, who came to lay siege to the BJP office in protest against the comments made by BJP leader Ramesh Biduri against their party MP Priyanka Gandhi. The Youth Congress activists pelted stones at the BJP office. In retaliation, the BJP workers came out holding sticks. A Dalit Morcha worker of the BJP sustained head injuries after stones were pelted inside the BJP office. The BJP alleged that the attack was a failure of the police.
It may be mentioned here that senior BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri made derogatory remarks against Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi. Following this, the Congress called for a blockade of the BJP office. The Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a hospital. Heavy security has been put in place at the BJP office. (PMI)
