Hyderabad, Sept 19(Shoukat-PMI): The Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone, Hyderabad, has successfully busted an illegal online betting racket operating across multiple platforms, apprehending one bookie, five agents, and one punter.
Acting on credible information, police laid a trap in Murali Nagar, Purana Pool, Bahadurpura, and arrested Suresh Soni, who was found playing online betting on Placebet999. On interrogation, he revealed the involvement of Girish Agarwal (39), a bookie from Ghansi Bazar Jhula, Charminar, and his network of agents, including S. Maninder Pal Singh, Pawan Kumar Sharma, Kishan Sharma, Mohith Agarwal, and Rahul Agarwal.

Modus Operandi:
The bookie, Girish Agarwal, registered on online betting platforms such as SKYEXCH, RADHE EXCHANGE, 99 RACES, 365 RACES, Placebet999, and provided account credentials to agents who facilitated punters’ transactions. Fresh bank accounts were opened in agents’ names, funded with ₹3,000 each, and all account credentials were controlled by Agarwal.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Sri Ch. Yadender, Inspector of Police, West Zone, Commissioner’s Task Force, with the assistance of SI Sri D. Ravi Raj and team.
