COMMISSIONER OF POLICE CYBERABAD SRI VC SAJJANAR IPS, INAUGERATED WOMEN HELP DESK AT RGIA:

Hyderabad Nov 9 (PMI): Sri V C Sajjanar IPS Commissioner of Police Cyberabad today inaugurated Women Help Desk at RGIA Airport along with Shamshabad DCP N Prakash Reddy, DCP Traffic SM Vijay Kumar, IPS W&CSW DCP Anasuya, Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GHIAL, MK Singh DIG/ Chief Airport Security Officer, CISF, Bharat Kamdar, Head – Security, GHIAL and other officials.

Sri V C Sajjanar said Telangana Police and Cyberabad Police are very much committed for the safety of women and children, speaking with the Media persons. In this regard to help women and ensuring safety and security of women a dedicated Help Desk for Women was launched today CP added. RGIA is the 4th busiest airport in India after Delhi, Mumbai and Bangaluru airports. RGIA handles 22 million passengers per annum, Approximately 62000 passengers per day. 30 to 35 % of these passengers are women which is around 9000 to 9500 passengers for both arrival and departure he added. The women who are travelling to Hyderabad for work or any other reason Cyberabad Police has taken initiative to establish Women Help Desk at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for women to reach out for help in case of any emergency. The desk will be monitored by the RGIA Police Station. There will be a women police constables available 24/7 at the help desk to help the women.

Cyberabad Police request all the women suffering from teasing, stalking or any other atrocity to approach the SHE teams by sending WhatsApp messages to the mobile No.9490617444 or DIAL: 100.

Cyberabad Police started a Women and Children Safety Wing in Cyberabad consisting of “SHE Teams and Bharosa for women”, “Smile team and Bala Mithra for children” and “Aasara for destitute senior citizens”.

In association with SCSC, Cyberabad police has launched Margadarshak program for helping women in the IT industry and Sanghamithra program for women living in the communities. A SHE safe App was also launched this year with information on women safety including availability of Margadarshak and Sanghamithra and verification of safety of hostels for working women. We have also launched “SHE Shuttle Buses for free transportation to women in IT Corridor”. (Press Media of India)
