Hyderabad, The State government has instructed all the District Collectors & District Magistrates, Superintendents of Police, all the Heads of Departments and all the authorities/organizers concerned to identify places where the National Flag is to be hoisted and see that government instructions are followed scrupulously.
The Principal Secretary said any deviation of the rules and disrespect to honour of the National Flag will be viewed seriously and necessary action will be initiated against the concerned, being it is a cognizable offence punishable under Flag Code of India, 2002 and Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
The Principal Secretary also asked them to create awareness among the general public about Republic Day celebrations and use of national flag.
