Zaheerabad, Sangareddy District'(PMI) Chief Minister Revanth Reddy unveiled the statue of Sri Basaveshwara Maharaj in Huggelli village, Zaheerabad Mandal, and laid foundation stones for ₹494.67 crore worth of development projects at Pastapur during his official tour on Friday. In his speech, the CM reminisced about former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s bond with Medak, referring to her tenure as its MP as a golden era. “Medak is synonymous with Indira Gandhi’s legacy,” he stated.

Under this project, the government has sanctioned 5,612 Indiramma houses for displaced families, assigning Congress leader Jagga Reddy to oversee their distribution and livelihoods.
The CM promised substantial funds for developing the Zaheerabad and Narayankhed constituencies. He praised leaders Suresh Shetkar and Sanjeeva Reddy for their contributions to Narayankhed and assured focused efforts to meet the constituency’s needs.
Welfare and Employment Initiatives
Revanth Reddy outlined a series of welfare schemes, including an enhanced Rythu Bharosa benefit of ₹12,000 per acre, loan waivers for farmers, financial aid for landless laborers, 200 units of free electricity, and subsidized cooking gas at ₹500 for the poor. He highlighted the empowerment of women through free RTC bus travel and initiatives to make one crore women millionaires in five years.
Criticizing the previous government for unfulfilled promises of employment, he assured that his administration prioritized job creation and had filled vacancies across government departments.
Appeal for Collaboration
The CM pledged to work with the Union government for additional resources and urged the opposition to engage constructively in Assembly sessions. “We are open to suggestions and will correct any missteps,” he added.
Reiterating his dedication to the people of Telangana, Revanth Reddy vowed to work tirelessly for the state’s development, emphasizing an inclusive and non-discriminatory governance model.
“I will not sleep until the state achieves all-round development,” he concluded, receiving resounding applause from the gathering.
