Hyderabad, May 25 (PMI): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday interacted with CPI, CPM, Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and Congress leaders and discussed the poll strategy for the Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal MLC by-election which will be held on May 27.
TJS leaders Professor Kodandaram and Professor Vishweshwar Rao, CPI MLA Kunamaneni Sambasivarao, CPM leaders Julakanti Ranga Reddy and S Veeraiah, Congress leaders, including MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, Mallu Ravi, Government Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, former GHMC mayor Bonthu Rammohan were among those leaders who met the Chief Minister.
During the meeting, all the leaders decided to work in coordination for the victory of Congress candidate Theenmar Mallanna.
Later, speaking to the media, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee ( TPCC) working president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud exuded confidence that Congress candidate Theenmar Mallanna would emerge victorious with a huge majority in the MLC by-election.
The MLC said that CPI, CPM and TJS parties were extending their support for the Congress candidate and during the meeting with the Chief Minister, leaders of all parties had discussed the poll strategy for the election.
CPI MLA Kunamaneni Sambasivarao stated that Theenmar Mallanna must win in the MLC by-election if the democracy is to be survived in the State.
He urged the CPI activists to cast their first preference vote for Theenmar Mallanna and work for his victory.
TJS president Professor Kodandaram said that his party had supported the Congress in the Assembly elections and also decided to work for the victory of Theenmar Mallanna in the MLC by-election.
CPM leader Veeraiah and others also spoke for the victory of Congress candidate. (PMI)
