CM Revanth angry over sale of Praja Palana applications

Hyderabad, Dec.30 (PMI): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has expressed anger over the sale of applications which are being submitted to avail the benefits of government schemes during the Praja Palana programme.

            The officials have been asked  to make available as many applications as required to the applicants. The Chief Minister clarified that all the old beneficiaries of Rythu Bandhu and pension schemes need not to worry and new beneficiaries will have to apply to avail the benefits and  added that people should not get confused in this matter.

            The Chief Minister held a review on the submission of applications in Praja Palana and the ground reality with Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari and other top officials at the Secretariat here on Saturday.

            In the wake of the commencement of the Praja Palana which was launched on December 28 in Telangana, the Chief Minister enquired the officials about the details of the Gram Sabhas held so far, details of applications and the process of accepting the applications during the Praja Palana.

            He asked the officials to make available  as many applications as required and instructed them not to create difficulty to the applicants in submitting applications.

            “The district collectors should take stringent action against those who sell applications. Similarly, the public representatives should participate in the Praja Palana.  The authorities should take steps to ensure that citizens will not face any kind of difficulty in submitting applications,” Revanth Reddy said.

            The officials have also been asked to provide drinking water supply and erect tents for people who attend the Praja Palana to submit applications. (PMI)
