Hyderabad, June 24 (PMI): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will start the distribution of Podu land pattas to tribals from Asifabad district headquarters on June 30.
Simultaneously, the distribution of podu land pattas programme will be held across the Telangana State on the same day and Ministers and MLAs will take part in the programme in their respective districts and constituencies.
In fact, the State government has planned to launch the distribution of the podu pattas programme from Saturday, June 24. However, with officials of the central election committee visiting Telangana State and organising training classes for the district collectors with regard to the ensuing Assembly election, the State government has fixed June 30 for launching the programme. Officials also considered June 29 to start the programme. However, as Eid al-Adha ( Bakrid ) shall be celebrating on June 29, the State government has decided to launch the programme from June 30.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekara Rao will also launch the newly constructed district collectorate complex and the Superintendent of Police (SP) building in Asifabad on that day. (PMI)
