CM FEELS ACTION ON CONG. MLAS “HARSH BUT COMPELLING”

Hyderabad,  Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that though the action initiated against the Congress members was “harsh” but was necessitated to uphold democratic values, dignity and prestige of the legislature.
Speaking in the Telangana Assembly soon after the expulsion and suspension of the Congress members were taken by the House, the Chief Minister described yesterday’s incident was very unfortunate and painful. In politics one cannot resort to such unruly and dastardly act to vent their frustration and impatience, he observed.
KCR further observed that the law and order issue was under control during the last four years of the TRS regime and the people were very happy and leading a peaceful life. The government would not hesitate to deal firmly and crush disruptive forces, he said and declared that resorting to unruly acts under the garb of elected representatives would not be tolerated.
The Chief Minister further charged that the Congress party has been acting with vengeance and revengeful against TRS ever since the Telangana State was formed. Within five days after the formation of a separate Telangana State, the Congress leaders became frustrated and indulged in burning his effigies. When he went to meet the Prime Minister, they indulged in vitriolic tirade against me. They had even launched false propaganda about my health by spreading rumours that I am going to USA for treatment and that might die there itself. All these had pained me a lot, he observed.
