Hyderabad, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today congratulated D Prabhakar Rao, Chairman & Managing Director, Telangana Power Generation and Transmission Corporation, on his being conferred with “Central Board of Irrigation and Power” Award for his outstanding contribution to power transmission sector.
The CBIP Member-Secretary B K Batra has informed D Prabhakar Rao in a letter dated December 15 mentioning that as part of recognizing the outstanding contribution of various organizations, stakeholders and 
professionals to promote excellence in the water, power and renewable energy sectors, the jury constituted decided to confer the award this year on D Prabhakar Rao.
CBIP will be celebrating CBIP Day in the early January 2018 at New Delhi and the award will be presented.
