Hyderabad, March 9 (PMI): Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today announced a huge job recruitment to fill about 80,039 Jobs out of 91,142 vacant posts identified in various departments in the State. He also declared in the Assembly during the second day of the Budget session to regularize all the 11,103 contract and outsourcing staff jobs in the State. The government will have to bear additional expenditure of Rs 7,300 crore a year by filling new jobs and regularizing the contract and outsourcing staff, he informed.
As soon as the House resumed on the second day for the budget session in the Assembly, Leader of the House KCR declared filling of these posts and to release related notifications today itself. The announcement for the big recruitment drive by the Chief Minister came amid expectations by the job seekers and youths. He stated that the local people would get 95 percent of jobs from the attender to RDO level. The Chief Minister stated that as per new Presidential Orders and directions, the government will fill the posts in the State, districts, zones and multi-zones and offer 10 years of age relaxation. The Chief Minister also made it clear that 95 percent of the posts will be filled locally in the State, zones, multi zones, zones and districts in the State.
After bifurcation of the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, there are some 90,000 jobs in the Telangana State and this is the big offer of the jobs for the youths and people seeking jobs, he declared amid big applause and beating of the desks by the treasury benches. The Chief Minister directed that the officials concerned issue notifications for the jobs to be filled. The TRS government initially said to regularize the contract and outsourcing staff serving the State for quite some time, KCR said. Now the promise is being kept after the High Court gives its clearance to go ahead, the Chief Minister explained.
The Chief Minister also expressed his displeasure at the Opposition parties for creating hurdles with regard to recruitment of jobs and regularization of the contract and outsourcing staff. Some political parties mischievously created hurdles to the regularization process, he alleged. “We faced all difficulties, insults and abuses during the statehood movement and achieved Telangana to give jobs 95 percent to locals”, he said and explained that the government decided to fill the jobs, including 39,829 in districts, 18,866 in zones, 13,170 in multi zones and 8,174 in Universities and other categories respectively.
Stating that in last December, the High Court gave its permission to go ahead with the process of the regularization of the contract and outsourcing employees, he said now with the High Court giving its nod, “we are regularizing the staff from today itself and the officials will begin the process of filling of the posts. Thus the government is keeping its big promise of fulfilling the aspirations of the people”, he claimed. (PMI)
