Kamareddy, October 5 (PMI): A violent clash that broke out at midnight during the Dussehra festival created tension in Kamareddy town. Police acted swiftly, investigated the matter, and arrested one person who was later remanded to judicial custody.
Kamareddy Sub-Division ASP Chaitanya Reddy, addressing a press conference at his office, said that around midnight, the police control room received a call on helpline number ‘100’ reporting a fight between two groups. Responding immediately, the police rushed to the spot and found both groups engaged in a violent scuffle.
He stated that several persons were taken into custody for questioning, during which it was revealed that a glass shard had been used in the attack. Preliminary investigations found that a man named Siddharth had attacked two youths, Ketan and Praful, with a piece of glass due to an old rivalry. Four people were injured in the incident.
Police later arrested the accused, Siddharth, and sent him to judicial remand. ASP Chaitanya Reddy warned that strict action would be taken against anyone involved in unlawful activities. Town Circle Inspector Narahari and other police officials were also present.(pressmediaofindia.com
