Hyderabad: 28 Oct (Press Media Of India), Hyderabad City police conducted a flag march in sensitive areas of the old city in view of the upcoming elections in Telangana state. Termed as “March for Democracy” city police carried out the march in old city area under the supervision of Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar. About 750 security personnel including central forces such as CRPF, Rapid Action Force (RAF), CARF, Special armed force of state police, Mounted police & law and order police also participated in the flag march carried out in the south zone.
The march started from the historic Charminar and proceeded towards Bhavani Nagar, Aitebar Chowk, Mir Chowk and culminated at Midan-e-Ghadeer, Darul Shifa.
Along with the Commissioner, Addl. CP law & order Mr D.S. Chowhan IPS, Addl.CP Crimes Mrs. Shikha Goel, IPS, DCP Southzone Mr Amber kishore Jha, IPS, DCP traffic, Mr K.Babu rao, Add. DCP taskforce Mr S.Chaitanya kumar, Add.DCP South, Mr Rafeeq & ACP’s Anjaiah, Charminar, Mr Shivram sharma, Santoshnagar, Mr. B. Anand Mirchowk & Mr Rasheed of Falaknuma, SB Mr Mohan kumar, Srinivas Goud, CI, Mir Chowk were also present in the flag march.
Citezens expressed their satisfaction at the initiative taken up by the Hyderabad Police to install confidence among the mass and their determination to maintain peace and uphold law and order in the city. The Shia Community also expressed their gratitude to the city police.
