Hyderabad, Oct 16(PMI): Chikkadpally Police have successfully cracked an organized automobile theft racket, arresting two adults and three juveniles while recovering two stolen two-wheelers
The accused, including 18-year-old student Middela Edukondalu and 35-year-old scrap dealer Mohammed Aamer, were caught while transporting the stolen Yamaha Fascino and Honda Activa for disposal. Another key suspect, Mohammed Ajaz Ahmed, a known organized criminal with over 10 previous property crime cases, remains at large.
Police investigation revealed that the gang, led by Ajaz Ahmed and Aamer, had stolen at least 11 two-wheelers across Hyderabad, earning around ₹3,000 per bike, with Ajaz profiting further by dismantling and selling the vehicles.
The case was registered after bike mechanic Sri P. Nagaraju reported the theft of a customer’s Pulsar bike from his workshop in Baghlingampally. The operation was carried out under the supervision of DCP Central Zone K. Shilpavalli, Sri B. Anand Kumar, Addl. DCP ‘ ACP L. Ramesh Kumar, SHO B. Raju Naik, and the Chikkadpally PS team.
