Hyderabad, Jan 31 ( Shoukat-PMI) With the holy month of Ramzan approaching, the Charminar Zone police on Saturday held a coordination meeting with members of the Central Peace Committee to review arrangements for the smooth and peaceful conduct of upcoming festivals.
The meeting was chaired by Charminar Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Khare Kiran, IPS, along with the Additional DCP and Assistant Commissioners of Police, at Sanjary Convention. Discussions centred on measures to ensure communal harmony, public safety, traffic regulation, and preventive policing to curb criminal activities in the zone.
Senior police officials underlined the need for close cooperation between the police and community leaders to maintain law and order during the festive period. The DCP urged all stakeholders to work together to promote peace and harmony, particularly during Ramzan, when the area witnesses increased religious activity and public movement.
Members of the Central Peace Committee assured the police of their full support in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere and assisting in effective coordination at the local level.
The meeting concluded with a consensus on strengthening police–community collaboration to ensure peace, security, and communal harmony in the Charminar Zone.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Kiran Khair stated that members of the public are free to meet him without hesitation to discuss their problems and grievances.
The peace meeting was chaired by Mr. M.A. Moiz, President of the Central Peace and Welfare Committee, Charminar. The meeting was attended by the peace committee’s patron, Hafiz Muzaffar Hussain; All-Zone Secretary Mr. Sri Kishan Sharma; senior journalist, Najaf Ali Shaukat; Manjula; Renuka; Additional DCP M.A. Majid; ACP Charminar Chandra Shekhar; Mr. Ghaziuddin, President of Rajendranagar Zone; and several other speakers who addressed the gathering.
Mr. M.A. Maaz, Mr. Sri Kishan Sharma, and Hafiz Muzaffar Hussain urged the members of the Peace Committee to actively work towards promoting unity and solidarity in the Charminar Zone. They also appealed to everyone to remain committed to preserving the Ganga–Jamuni cultural ethos and strengthening communal harmony.
The programme witnessed the participation of Dr. Zain Youth Leader Munir Qadri; senior member Ijaz Qadri; Anwar Hussain, Gopal Sharma; journalist Rafi Qureshi, along with a large number of members of the Peace Committee. And also Acp Mirchowk, Acp Malak Pet were present
The meeting concluded on a positive note, with participants reaffirming their commitment to maintaining peace, harmony, and brotherhood in the Charminar Zone.
