Charminar to Chaumahalla Palace

State Municipal Department Secretary Arvind Kumar said that along with the restoration of historical buildings in the city, steps are being taken to preserve them. On the occasion of International Heritage Walk on Wednesday, he flagged off the heritage walk organized by Deccan Academy organization at Charminar.

  • Charminar, April 18: State Municipal Secretary Arvind Kumar said that steps are being taken to restore and preserve historical buildings in the city. On the occasion of International Heritage Walk on Wednesday, he flagged off the heritage walk organized by Deccan Academy organization at Charminar. Speaking on this occasion, Arvind Kumar said that the culture of Hyderabad has worldwide recognition. He said that from the time of Kulikuthubsha to Asafjahila, Charminar, Golconda, Rachakonda, Devarakonda and many other parts of the city were built as houses of historical wealth.

    Vedakumar, Chairman of Deccan Heritage Academy, said that the youth should join hands so that the historical buildings of the city get a place in the list of world heritage buildings. He said that besides the beautification of Charminar, the clock tower in Murgechowk and many other historical buildings have been renovated by the government. After that, the heritage walk from Charminar continued to Chaumahalla Palace via Lad Bazaar, Murgeechowk and Clock Tower. Telangana Tourism ATO Anjaiah, Charminar Conservator Rajeshwari, EE Guruveera along with many officials of various departments and heritage walk enthusiasts participated in this program.
