Centre provides nearly 18 crore vaccine doses free of cost to states, UTs so far

The Centre has provided nearly 18 crore vaccine doses to States and Union Territories free of cost so far. Of this, the total consumption including wastages is over 16.89 crore doses. Over one crore COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.

States with a negative balance are showing more consumption including wastage than vaccine supplied as they have not reconciled the vaccine they have supplied to Armed Forces. The Central Government will send over nine lakh vaccine doses in addition to States and UTs within the next three days
