Centre played major role in 24-hr power supply: Dattatraya

New Delhi,  Former Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya today said the Centre played major role in providing 24X7 electricity supply in Telangana State.

Dattatraya announced this after meeting Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, R K Singh and Hardip Singh and discussed on various issues. Dattatreya said supplying electricity for 24 hours is a joint effort of the Centre and the State governments. But Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was claiming that it was possible only because of his government, the senior BJP leader lamented.

Dattatreya said it was Narendra Modi government which has taken various measures in providing 24-hour power supply across the country. “We should not forget the assistance given by the Centre to electricity production institutions and DISCOMs, he said.
