Hyderabad, Jan.31 (PMI): IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today asserted that the state government will fight with the Centre to achieve its rights and demands. The Centre should extend necessary support and give adequate funds to Telugus states to develop and prosper, he said.
The minister was participating at a program at Begumpet here with principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan and other officials of the company.
He expressed displeasure at the Centre for denying funds and support for development of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. He sought the Centre to give subsidies and more funds for development to the states. We have not received yet the funds and support for Mega Textile Park, Pharma City and other projects from the Centre, the minister said. Remarks made by the minister assume significance as the budget session of Parliament has begun on Monday. The minister asked to know as to how it is possible to make all round development when the centre denies funds. The Centre says Sab Ka Saath, Sabka Vikas without giving necessary funds and support, the minister maintained.
The government signed a deal with Drillmec SpA Company which will start its business. It will invest about Rs1500 cr as part of its business and provide huge employment, he said. The minister expressed pleasure and welcomed the company for its investment plans and employment to local talent and youths. KTR promised to give necessary support from the government for the new company to develop and expand in the state.
The minister urged the centre to give more funds and support through projects to the Telugu states to develop. How the new states will develop if there is no support and funding from the Centre the minister expressed surprise. For the past seven and half years the Centre failed to give support and funds to the state he expressed displeasure. The minister stated that Telangana has been vying for more development through multiple schemes and huge funds. (PMI)
