Hyderabad, 12 Oct 2023 ( Ali Abbas PMI): Police seized cash, liquor, ganja and other precious metals worth about Rs.37.07 crores after the model code of conduct came into effect for Assembly elections.
According to officials, Rs.20,43,38,375 in cash and liquor worth Rs.86,92, 533 was seized in Telangana. Similarly, police seized drugs and narcotics worth Rs. 89,02,825 and precious metals worth Rs.14.65 crores.
Police and other enforcement agencies began implementing the model code as per ECI directions after the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced Assembly elections on November 30. (PMI)
