Cases dip in Telangana, govt to lift lockdown if decrease further :  Srimivas Rao

   Hyderabad, June 3 (PMI): Health Director Srinivas Rao today informed that the Corona cases and fatalities are on declining note. The health director told media persons that with the lockdown the Corona cases and deaths are drastically reduced. The government is to cancel the lockdown if cases come down further and positively rate decreased to 2 percent, he said.

Srimivas Rao informed that the positive cases are put at 2261 and recovery at 3043 and deaths at 15 during 24 hours. The health director stated that the cases are decreasing significantly with the curbs of lockdown.  The curbs to be implemented strictly in villages to break the chain he said. More isolation centers are opened in the villages while he made a field level visit to several districts to take stock of cases and measures in the hospitals.

 The government imposed lockdown from  May 12 and extended it till June 9 to break the chain of virus and bring down cases. Amid second wave of pandemic Telangana Government had extended the lockdown from May 28 to June 9. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed for lockdown till June 9 to bring down Corona corona cases and fatalities. We have 9 lakh doses and giving vaccination to students going abroad at IPM center. There are 55,000 plus beds in the hospitals as we conduct house to house survey to find 4037 cases from 87,49,549 houses.  We started action on complaints on 72 hospitals in Hyderabad, 37 in Ranga Reddy and 48 in Medchal, he said.
