Hyderabad, May :: Chief Secretary Shanti kumari held a video conference with the District Collectors and reviewed the progress achieved in Kantivelugu and Arogya women programmes. They reviewed issues like grain procurement, implementation of GO 58 and 59, oil palm cultivation, tests to be conducted by TSPSC, supply of fertilizers through video conference.
The Chief Secretary to the Government has directed the District Collectors to regularly visit Kanti Velam and Arogya Women’s Camps and take steps to provide the most satisfactory service to the people. As the health programs have a mass interface, there is scope for improvement and therefore the authorities are advised to take necessary steps to improve the system.
Referring to the procurement of grain, the CS ordered that all the purchasing centers should work at full capacity and timely payments to the farmers. Collectors were also directed to complete the calculation of crop losses due to untimely rains in the months of March and April. She asked for speedy distribution of remaining tracks related to GO 58 and distribution of conveyance deeds related to GO 59 should be taken up in mission mode and completed by 15th of this month.
The Chief Secretary asked the Collectors to suggest innovative methods to promote oil palm cultivation in the state. As the plantation will start in another forty days, she ordered a review at the district level to initiate the process. She mentioned that this year’s target can be easily surpassed as plants are available.
The Chief Secretary of the Government has directed the Collectors to ensure that all types of fertilizers such as DAP and Urea are supplied adequately in the district. She asked collectors to check the stock and take steps to transfer it to retail godowns.
