Hyderabad, June 29:(PMI) BRS leader Dasari Usha has accused the Telangana Congress government of violating women’s reservation norms in the recently revised Group-2 job notification. She claimed that the government failed to allocate 90 posts to women as mandated under the 33.3% reservation rule.
Speaking at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Usha said that out of 753 total vacancies, women should have received 259 posts. However, only 169 were allotted, falling short by 90 posts.
She highlighted several discrepancies across categories:
-
In the Open Category (OC), only 52 posts were given to women instead of the required 99.
-
In the EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) category, no posts were allotted to women.
-
In the OBC category, only 59 posts went to women, whereas 72 were due.
Usha demanded that the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) immediately correct the allocations and uphold the constitutional reservation for women. She urged the state government to ensure fair and lawful representation in public employment(pressmediaofindia.com)
