Hyderabad ‘6 June (PMI): State Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has said that government financial assistance will be provided to temples a week before Ashad Bonala festival. On the occasion of Bonala festival, about 26 temples will be presented with silk clothes on behalf of the state government. Ministers under GHMC Sabita Indra Reddy, Mallar Reddy, Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Mayor Mothe Sreelatha Reddy will also present silk clothes and ordered the officials to make arrangements. On Tuesday, the Minister held a meeting on Bonala Utsavalam with the officials of Devadaya and Revenue Departments at Dr. BR Ambedkar Secretariat.
Speaking on this occasion, he said that the Ashad Bonala festival will start from the 22nd of this month. It has been explained that Golconda Bonals will be held on 22nd, Secunderabad Bonals on July 9th and Old City Bonals on 16th. The Minister said that lakhs of people will come for the Bonala festival and keeping that in mind, the government is making all the arrangements in coordination with various departments.
He reminded that since the formation of Telangana state, according to the orders of CM KCR, financial assistance has been provided to the temples which are not under the jurisdiction of the Devadaya Department to organize Bonala festivals grandly. Last year financial assistance was given to 3039 temples under GHMC. This year too, the government has allocated Rs. 15 crores have been released. This year, the government has decided to provide financial assistance to the temples a week before the Bonala festival, and the minister ordered to take steps accordingly. The minister also asked the administrators of the temple committees to hand over the applications to the authorities as soon as possible.It is mentioned that bonala festivals which show our culture are organized in a grand manner.
Similarly, arrangements are being made for 3D mapping in Golconda Fort, Damayanti Bhawan in Old City and Secunderabad. He said that cultural department will organize various cultural programs with artists at all major temples. The officials were ordered to take steps to decorate the main temples with electric lights. He said that wide publicity is being given to Bonala festivals. Commissioner Anil Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Ramakrishna, Assistant Commissioner Balaji, DRO Suryalatha and others participated in this meeting.(Press media of india)
