Hyderabad, Jan.6 (PMI): The lone BJP member elected to the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Raja Singh (Goshamahal segment in the city) who is known for controversial statements, has announced today that he will not attend the Assembly session slated to start from January 17, as long as the AIMIM member, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, was in the Chair as pro-tem Speaker.
In a video message released here today, Raja Singh found fault with the Chief Minister KCR’s decision to make the MIM Member as the pro-tem Speaker, and suggested to the former to re-consider the decision. Reversing the decision would be in the best interests of Telangana State, he contended.
‘KCR has taken his decision and now I will take my decision’ he said and added that he would not attend the sittings as long as the MIM member is in the chair. He said he would announce his future course of action after consulting the constitutional experts. He fumed at an MIM member being made the pro-tem Speaker, saying that the party was in the habit of insulting Hindus and it’s leaders never uttered the words ‘Vande Maataram’ and ‘Bharat Maata ki jai’.
