Hyderabad; 13 Nov 2023 (PMI): BJP senior leader Tula Uma joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi ( BRS) in presence of BRS working president KT Rama Rao here on Monday.
Tula Uma, who launched her political career with the TRS ( now BRS) and worked as State president of BRS party women’s wing and former chairperson of Karimnagar Zilla Parishad, left the ruling party along with former minister and Huzurabad MLA Etela Rajender and was with the BJP. With the BJP denying the party ticket from Vemulawada Assembly constituency, she has decided to join the BRS party.
On the request of BRS working president KT Rama Rao, Tula Uma along with her supporters joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
Speaking on the occasion, KT Rama Rao slammed the BJP for insulting a woman by denying the party ticket and said that it was a proof of anti- BC and women attitude by the BJP.
Condemning the injustice made by the BJP to Tula Uma, KT Rama Rao reminded her services as a senior woman leader since the days of Telangana movement.
“It is sad that the BJP has done such an insult to Tula Uma and injustice to a weaker section leader,” he said.
Meanwhile, many leaders from YSRTP under the leadership of Gattu Ramchander Rao joined BRS party in the presence of Minister Harish Rao.
At Telangana Bhavan, Harish Rao welcomed the YSRTP leaders into the BRS party with a pink scarf and appreciated their decision to work with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. (PMI)
