BJP ridicules KCR talk of floating Third Front

Hyderabad,  Criticizing the style of functioning of the TRS government in the State, BJP State president Dr K Laxman said his party has taken agitation path as the ruling party was ignoring the people’s problems.

Inaugurating “Musi Prakshalana padyaatra” at Enkiriyal in Yadadri-Bhongir district today, Laxman accused KCR government of ignoring farmers, Dalits and unemployed even after four years of formation of the new State. As the agriculture sector was in worst crisis, the male and female farmers were resorting to suicides, he said.

Laxman said KCR had made promises before elections that his government would waive farmers loans at one go, but failed to keep his word. When farmers raised their voice demanding minimum support price, they were handcuffed, he alleged. He claimed that some 4,000 farmers have committed suicide during the last four years in the State, he said and dubbed the government as “mass murderer”.

Laxman claimed that Narendra Modi government was implementing Swaminathan Commission recommendation to make the agriculture profitable, but KCR instead of working for the benefit of farmers, was leaving them in the lurch and now talking about national politics. How a person, who could not able to resolve State farmers problems, can solve the problems of the country, he asked.

Ridiculing the move of KCR to play a role in national politics, Laxman pointed out that the former, being a chief minister, never goes to the Secretariat and talks of going to New Delhi to influence national politics. He also said KCR, who had promised to provide one job to each family, had miserably failed to provide even one job in one village. He claimed though there were 2.04 lakh vacancies were lying in the State, the State government failed even to fill 16,000 vacant jobs during four years, he alleged.

He asserted that the BJP would continue to fight against the TRS government till it would take up measures to make the Musi river pollution-free. They would raise this issue in the Assembly and create awareness among the people, he said.
