BJP, or Congress in Centre denied funds to TS: CM KCR

Hyderabad, March 26 (PMI): Giving clarification in the house on the last day of the budget session that approved Rs 2.30 lakh crore for 2021-22 fiscal, leader of the house and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today hit out at the BJP led Central Government for failing to give funds towards Telangana the youngest state.

The Chief Minister flayed that the Centre despite BJP or the Congress at the helm of affairs have shown their partisan attitude towards our state. They have been denying us funds, projects and failing to keep bifurcation promises KCR fumed.

Stating that Independent India came up with its first budget of Rs 190 cr including Rs 92 cr for Defense sector alone, KCR said that in the long run the budgets rose to lakhs of crores from hundreds of crores.

Of course, the credit for this goes to all those successive governments, rulers, political parties, people as assets and resources surged in the mean time and cater to requirements and changing needs of people he said.

Though we are giving more taxes amount to the  centre, it is not giving us in return which is a cause of great concern and a heavy loss to our state development.

The Chief Minister took serious exception to the BJP Government of Narendra Modi for not giving funds to the development, projects permissions, and failing to give steel, coach factories, ITIR and national status to one of the irrigation projects in the state.

He sought to know as to why the Centre either BJP or Congress is not following cooperative federalism to offer more support towards states. The centre even ignores the concurrent list of schemes and ignoring our pleas for funds he alleged. Though this goes as per fiscal and RBI norms to get the loans we are focusing on the continuation of the welfare and development programs in a big way which needs loans, he claimed.

The loans being obtained will be spent judiciously and by following FRBM norms for key sectors and welfare he said. (PMI)
