Hyderabad, Jan.19 (PMI): Ponugoti Chokka Rao, Vice President, All India Confederation of the Blind, Delhi, attended the Louis Braille Birthday function organised by Welfare Association of Disabled, at their Association Building at Suraram, Qutbullapur Mandal as one of the guests of Honour Eatala Rajender, MP Malkajgiri Constituency was the Chief Guest.
A Memorandum was presented to the MP regarding the long pending issues like appointment of Independent State Commissioner for Persons with Disability both at Centre and States; Enhancement of Income Tax Rebate for the Blind; and Making 3 Language compulsory for the Blind in all States. The MP accepted our Memorandum. The MP has also agreed to help in all possible measures in construction of the first floor of the Welfare Association of the Disabled at Suraram Colony. (PMI)
