Hyderabad, Feb.3 (PMI): The BJP high command has laid special emphasis on the party’s organisational structure in Telangana State. The party had performed well in the last assembly and parliamentary elections. It is going ahead with an aim of grabbing power in the State by the time of the next assembly elections.
The State BJP leadership has completed the elections to the party’s booth, village and mandal committees. In a fresh development, the party has appointed presidents to 27 districts of the State. Among those who have been elected as the district party president are: Adilabad- Brahmananda Reddy; Mancherial- Venkateswarlu Goud; Kumuram Bheem Asifabad- Srisaliam Mudiraj; Nizamabad- Dinesh Kulachary; Kamareddy-Neelam Chinnarajulu; Jagtal-Yadagiri Babu; Peddapalli-Sanjeeva Reddy; Nalgonda- Nagam Varshit Reddy; Medchal Rural- Srinivas; Mahabubnagar-Srinivas Reddy; Wanaparty-Narayana; Hanamkonda-K. Santosh Reddy; Warangal-Ganta Ravi; Jayashankar Bhupalpally-Nishidhar Reddy; Jangaon-Souda Ramesh; Mulugu-Sirikonda Balaram; Secunderabad-Mahankali Bharat Goud and Hyderabad Central-Deepak Reddy
The high command is also likely to take a final decision on the selection of the State president after appointing the district-wise party presidents. Union Minister Kishan Reddy is currently the State president of the BJP. The top leadership of the BJP has decided to hand over the reins of the party to a new leader in his place. Many names have come to the fore in this order. One of them is likely to be given the responsibility of BJP’s Telangana president post. There is talk in BJP circles that the process is likely to be completed before the end of Parliament session. The party MPs Eatala Rajender, DK Aruna and D. Aravind are said to be in the race of the president’s post.
