Bike Theft Racket Busted: Afzalgunj Police Arrest Serial Offender, Recover Five Stolen Motorcycles

Hyderabad:Dec 01(PMI NEWS) In a major breakthrough, Afzalgunj Police arrested a serial bike theft offender, Kurva Naresh alias Potti Naresh (29), and recovered five stolen motorcycles from his possession. The arrest followed a complaint about the theft of a Hero Passion Plus from the Osmania General Hospital parking lot on 18 November 2025.

Acting swiftly, a special Crime Team led by SHO N. Ravi and DI B. Ravi Kiran apprehended the accused on 1 December 2025. During interrogation, Naresh confessed to committing multiple bike thefts in Afzalgunj and Mahbubnagar.

The recovered motorcycles include:

• Hero Passion Plus

• Hero Honda Passion Plus

• Hero Passion Pro

• Hero Honda Splendor Plus

• Hero Splendor

These vehicles are connected to five cases registered under Section 305(b) BNS. Police stated that Naresh used duplicate keys to unlock and steal bikes from crowded areas. He is also involved in previous theft cases registered in Mahbubnagar, Chilkalguda, and Afzalgunj.
