In Bihar, the State Government will reserve seats for girls in engineering and medical colleges.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar decided to give 33 per cent reservation to girl students in engineering and medical colleges of the state. Kumar said that at least one third of the seats in engineering and medical colleges will be reserved for girl students. He said, this will increase the number of girl students in the field of engineering and medical areas.
Nitish Kumar said that with this decision the girl students will be more motivated towards higher and technical education. The Chief Minister said, his government’s aim is that the children and girls of Bihar should not have to go out to study engineering and medicine.
