Bibi Umm ul Banin anniversary being observed across the world, including Pakistan.

Shia Muslims pay homage to Hazrat Fatima Kulabiyah, the mother of Hazrat Abbas Alamdar (flag-bearing commander of battle of Karbala).

Amirul Maumineen Ali had married to Hazrat Fatima Kulabiyah.

However, he married her after the passing away of Bibi Fatima Zahra (AS) also known as Umm ul Baneen (Banin).

Specially, Hazrat Ali’s four sons from Bibi Ummul Banin embraced martyrdom prior to the martyrdom of Imam Hussain in the battle of Karbala. Hazrat Abbas Ibn Ali (AS) was one of them.

According to traditions, Shia Muslims mourn on the martyrdom (demise) anniversaries of eminent figures of Islamic history.
