Hyderabad ‘May 4 ‘2023:Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday wondered why the State government failed to make public gangster Nayeem’s diary even after several years of the gangster’s death in an encounter with the police.
On the 49th day of his “People’s March,” his Pada Yatra entered Bhongir on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said, quoting media reports over a period of five months, that currency notes worth several thousands of crores, lands, gold, jewellery, and diamonds were found at his hideout. But, the State government failed to make the details public, he said. He demanded the dismantling of the wall of secrecy as far as Nayam’s dairy was concerned. ‘Now who is enjoying the lands acquired by the gangster illegally,’ he asked.
The State government did not contradict the media reports on Nayeem’s properties and other illegal deals. “Silence will constitute acceptance,” he felt. He demanded that the properties seized by officials be seized by the government.
The BRS government killed the Congress-designed Pranahita project and designed the Kaleswaram project in its place and built Annaram, Medigedda and Sundilla barrages. So far, only 110 tmc ft of water is discharged into the Sripada Yellampalli project, he alleged.
However, 1,500 tmc ft of water is flowing waste from the Sripada Yellampalli project into the sea, he pointed out. The Kaleswaram project was built spending Rs 1,25,000 crore, but it was not irrigating at least one acre.
When the people of the State from Adilabad to Bhongir are caught in a whirlpool of problems for want of proper houses to reside in, for want of jobs, losing their lands due to the Dharani portal introduced by the State government, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao claimed that Telangana has been making rapid strides toward development.
The number of unemployed in Telangana rose from 12 lahks at the time of the formation of Telangana state to 30 lahks now. If the unemployment problem is on the rise how can the CM describe that the state is developing, he questioned the CM.
In the new state of Telangana, which is the result of several struggles, the objectives of the people did not get fulfilled but the people inherited Rs 5 lakh crore debts, unemployment problem, a society where there are no job avenues and losing the rights on lands with the help of the Dharani portal, he said.
If the Congress succeeded the BRS in the state, he vowed to complete the Pranahita-Chevella LI Scheme and also complete Indira Sagar, Rajiv Sagar, Kantalapalli, Palamuru-Rangareddy LI Schemes. He also vowed to allocate funds to the BCs like toddy tappers, weavers, and Yadavas in commnesurate with their proportion.
