Hyderabad, Chief Secretary, SP Singh today directed the officials to form special teams and inspect for better arrangements for Republic Day Celebrations at Parade Ground Secunderabad on January 26.
He conducted a high level review meeting with the officials of several departments to make the arrangements as Governor ESL Narasimhan will be addressing the gathering as the chief guest. Officials who attended the meeting include General Administration, Police, GHMC, Roads and Buildings, Water Works departments etc. He instructed the officials to inspect the works for the smooth conduct of the Republic Day Celebrations on a grand note.
SP Sing asked the police to provide complete security with bandobust and traffic regulation and GHMC to maintain sanitation and up-keeping the roads. As part of the celebrations steps should be taken for setting up mobile toilets and Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board to supply safe drinking water. He asked the General Administration department to make lighting arrangements at the government premises such as Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, Assembly, High Court buildings, Charminar and other noted places. Singh also asked them to put in place for media gallery through information wing and LED TVs and public address system, appointing commentators, live telecast of the celebrations, special buses for students of schools to the grounds, drinking water supply, electricity, barricading, parking, amublnce, fire servies and others.
