Hyderabad : Public Sector Banks will be conducting a one day strike across the nation in protest against Centre’s merger proposal and other unresolved demands on Aug 22. United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) affiliated unions have warned of participating in the strike against the Centre’s unilateral decision. Some banks have already informed to the customers that there will be no services on Tuesday if strike is conducted on Tuesday. However ICICI, HDFC, Axis, Kotak Mahindra like private banks will work as usual on that day. Nine affiliated unions of UFBU have held discussion with Labour Commissioner and no positive result came there off. As the talks failed to fructify we will go in for a single day strike, AIBOC General Secretary DT Franco said. (PMI)
