Hyderabad’Nov 20 (PMI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday welcomed the Telangana Governor’s approval allowing the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to prosecute former minister K.T. Rama Rao in the alleged Formula E race funds misappropriation case. He asserted that the Modi government “will not tolerate corruption under any circumstances.” The case pertains to alleged diversion of nearly Rs.54.88 crore sanctioned for the Formula E car racing event. KTR has already appeared before ACB officials multiple times as part of the ongoing investigation.
Addressing reporters at the BJP state office in Hyderabad, Sanjay launched a sharp attack on Left parties, branding them “urban Naxals.” He accused them of undermining development efforts and promoting divisive narratives instead of acknowledging the achievements of the Central government. Highlighting the BJP’s governance record, he claimed the party has repeatedly come to power through democratic means and is delivering welfare across nearly 20 states. He cited the rise in economic growth, poverty alleviation initiatives, free ration distribution and Rozgar Mela recruitments as key accomplishments.
Sanjay also criticised the ruling Congress in Telangana for failing to fulfil its “six guarantees” within 100 days, questioning its alliance partners for “remaining silent” while holding government posts. (pressmediaofindia.com)
