Hyderabad, (PressMedia Of India): At last the national BJP has appointed a new president for its Telangana state party after a long exercise.
BJP senior leader and MP from Karimnagar Bandi Sanjay has been appointed for the top post, by replacing the incumbent Dr K Lakshman who sought renewal in vain. Sanjay has youth following and support and blessings from the BJP National leadership and RSS. BJP national General Secretary Arun Singh announced in a press note today that the National President JP Nadda has appointed Bandi Sanjay Kumar as Telangana State President, with immediate effect.
There were several contenders for this post and the BJP national leadership picked him being the firebrand leader.
Senior leaders who tried for the same were former minister D K Aruna, Ch Ramchandra Reddy, Ramchandra Rao and MP D Arvind(PMI)
