Bandi Sanjay held in SSC Hindi question paper leak case by Warangal police: CP A V Ranganath confirms

Hyderabad, April 5 (PMI): State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar has turned out to be the principal accused in the sensational Hindi language question paper leak of the ongoing SSC exams in the State. The Warangal police arrested Sanjay in the case today. Warangal Police Commissioner Ranganath confirmed the arrest of Sanjay Kumar.

Addressing media persons, the CP said Bandi Sanjay was the A1 in the case. Revealing the names of the other accused in the case, the CP said a former journalist Bura Prashanth, the lab assistant of Kakatiya Medical College G. Mahesh, a minor boy, and Siva Ganesh were arrested in the case by them. He said all the accused were shifted to a court.

 The CP said they invoked sections 120 (B), 420, 447 and 505 of IPC. He said four other accused were at large. The CP said the officials of the Education department had already taken action against the officials, who had showed negligence in conducting the Hindi exam at Kamalapur ZPHS school. He made it clear that they did not book the case against all those who received the question paper on their WhatsApp. He said a journalist had forwarded the question paper to his media heads at 11.18 am and added that the A2 in the case Bura Prashanth forwarded the question paper to Bandi Sanjay Kumar at 11.20 am. He said accused Prashant was not working as a journalist now and added that he had forwarded the question paper to several persons, including BJP MLA Etala Rajender, his PA Raju and a couple of other BJP leaders.

CP Ranganath said they arrested Bandi Sanjay based on the developments that took place a day before the exam. He said a WhatsApp chatting was undertaken between Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Prashant on the evening of April 3, 2023. He said Sanjay had made the same comments at a press conference later what Prashant told him in the WhatsApp chat.

 The CP said Bandi Sanjay did not surrender his mobile phone to them and added that the scrutiny of the mobile phone would bring important information to the fore in the case. He said Bandi Sanjay was not handing over his phone as he was scared of the exposure of the important information to the world. The CP made it clear that they would gather the phone call data of Bandi Sanjay. (Press media of india)
