BALANAGAR POLICE BUST GENERATOR THEFT GANG, RECOVER Rs.3.5 LAKH VEHICLE

Hyderabad, Jan26 (PMI): Balanagar Police have successfully apprehended habitual offenders involved in a generator-mounted DCM vehicle theft case registered as a crime under Section 305(b) of the BNS.

According to the police, the case dates back to January 21, 2026, when the complainant, Yousuf Baba, reported the theft of his generator-mounted DCM parked near Prahlad Saw Mill, IDPL Huts. A swift technical investigation and eyewitness inputs led to the arrest of two accused, while two others remain absconding. The accused Mohammed Khadeer and Mohammed Tajuddin belongs to Bidar district of Karnataka. Two other accused Digya alias Dilwale and Faqruddin alias Gore are absconding.

As for the modus operandi, the accused conducted a recce, found the vehicle keys inside the cabin, used available diesel to start the vehicle, and fled via Mumbai Highway to Karnataka. The police recovered the property (generator mounted DCM worth Rs.3.5 lakh). The accused were also linked to another similar case.

The successful detection was carried out under the supervision of Balanagar division DCP Ritiraj, ACP P. Naresh Reddy and Inspector T. Narsimha Raju. The police team involved will be suitably rewarded. (pressmediaofindia.com)
