Hyderabad, Demanding an inquiry into Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) affairs, former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin today alleged that he HCA was not implementing Lotha Committee recommendations.
He also alleged that the HCA executive committee was violating the rights of the cricketers. Several irregularities took place in HCA Executive Committee elections, he claimed and asked how he could register his name as a cricketer as he was elected to Parliament from Uttar Pradesh.
Alleging that the HCA was sidetracking all, Azharuddin said it was not giving opportunity to the rural players who are good. He also alleged that T-20 League was going on against the rules and regulations. HCA president G Vivek didn’t take the permission of all. Conducting T-20 in the name of his father late G Venkata Swamy was against the rules, he stated.
“HCA members are alleging that I didn’t get clearance from BCCI. High Court has given me clean chit. I sent a report to BCCI on this issue. Vivek committed a mistake by seeing that the Court directions not to come out. It is painful that the educated persons committing such mistakes. I will proceed on this issue legally. I have no relation with the Telangana Cricket Association but everyone invites me as a celebrity”, he said and made it clear that he will wait in front of gate if Telangana cricket gets cleansed.
Stating that he was elected to national cricket team while playing to Hyderabad team, he said that he will extend his cooperation of the sake of development of cricket in Telangana. Alleging that Vivek’s behaviour was not good, AZHARuddin said that Vivek’s election itself took place in undemocratic manner.
