Hyderabad, Telangana Auto Drivers union members today staged a dharna at Secunderabad RTA office against “rampant corruption” in the office and demanded that the government curb corruption with an iron hand.
Addressing the auto drivers, Telangana Auto Drivers JAC convener Mohd Amanullah Khan alleged that no RTA work was being done in Secunderabad RTA Office without greasing the palms of the staff. He also demanded immediate suspension of the RTO Venkat Ramana for “harassing” auto drivers if they failed to pay him illegal gratification for any RTA work.
TADJAC leaders B. Venkatesham, M.A. Saleem, Maraiah, Rafatullah Baig and A Satti Reddy, Mohd Azeemuddin and others also spoke and threatened to intensify the agitation against corrupt practices of RTA officials.
