Hyderabad, Deeravath Vinod, Auto Driver, resident of Venkatadri Town ship, Uppal, has been arrested by Cyber Cell of Rachakonda for harassing a girl by creating a whats app group and Facebook profile with her picture and posting abusive comments.
Basing on the facts given by the victim, police registered a case and took up investigation.
The victim is a student of Nizam Women College, Koti. She has friendship with Deeravath Vinod. Later their friendship turned into love. Due to her family issues, she started avoiding him. Following this, he started harassing her and created what’s app Group, forwarded her voice recorded audio to said Whats app Group with message stating that she is loving him. Later, he started black mailing her by stating that if she doesn’t know to love him; he will upload her nude pictures in Social media. A few days later, the accused called victim’s brother and spoke negatively about the complainant’s character and also trying to cancel her upcoming marriage proposals. Due to his fear, she stayed In Koti Womens College Hostel. He went to the hostel and snatched her phone without her permission and copied her photos and edited them and uploaded those edited pictures in facebook without her permission. The accused took her relatives phone numbers from her mobile and started calling them and defaming victim’s character.
Based on the clues and on credible information, the team of Cyber cell comprising P. Saidulu, Inspector of Police and his team apprehended the accused at Venkatadri Township in Uppal. He accepted the guilt of his offence. From the evidence collected so far, it is established that previously he was arrested in cases under Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act-2012 of Wadapally PS of Nalgonda Dist.
The case was being registered by S. Harinath, Asst. Commissioner of Police and was investigated by P.Saidulu, Inspector of Police, Cyber Cell, Rachakonda; under the supervision of Nagaraj, DCP (Crimes), and CP Rachakonda Commissionerate.
