Assembly Elections for 199 seats in Rajasthan and 119 seats in Telangana ended peacefully this evening.
Around 73 per cent voter turn out was recorded in Rajasthan till 5 PM today. In the last assembly elections, the polling percentage was 75.23 per cent.
Briefing reporters in New Delhi, Deputy Election Commissioner Sandeep Saxena said, the voting was very peaceful in the state barring some small incidents.
He said, the final figure of turn out may go up as the people were in the queue when the last report came in.
In Telangana, 67 per cent voter turn out was recorded. In the last assembly polls, the voting percentage was 69.5 per cent.
Talking to reporters, Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha said, the polling was peaceful barring few incidents.
Counting of votes in both the states will be taken up on Tuesday along with Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram
